Check the display, not just the family name
Samsung Odyssey G9 is a display-family name, so this guide does not assume that every model has the same pixel dimensions. In Windows Display settings, select your screen and confirm its resolution. Use those dimensions as the wallpaper target.
If your display is 5120 × 1440, it has a 32:9 pixel ratio. The examples below apply to that setup. For another resolution, keep the same principles but match the source detail to your actual screen.
A panoramic screen changes the composition
On a 5120 × 1440 desktop, a 16:9 source must lose half its height to fill the screen without distortion. That can cut into mountains, buildings or people. Stretching a narrower image sideways changes the proportions instead.
Choose a wide source whose subject stays clear after cropping. A long horizon or a scene with interest distributed from left to right can use the screen well. The 5120 × 1440 guide gives concrete source-size examples.
A curve does not change the source pixel ratio
For wallpaper sizing, use the rectangular pixel dimensions reported for the screen. You do not need a special curved image file to match a curved panel. Composition still matters: inspect how subjects look from your normal seating position and avoid relying on a tiny focal point at the far edge.
A wallpaper that works as a small web preview may feel very different across the full desktop. Review the actual result before adding it to a regular rotation.
Use the G9 as its own target—or part of a bigger setup
Ultrawide Wallpaper can assign an image to the target display or span an image across multiple displays. If you use a secondary monitor beside your G9, an image sized for the G9 alone is not automatically the right shape for the combined desktop.
